Missing In Action

I love blogging but I love reading blog posts so much more than I love writing them!  I really have to force myself to sit in front of the computer to write my posts so they are not as regular as I would like.  I keep saying I am going to get better but it never happens.

Anyway, what have I achieved the last few weeks?

I finished my mini quilt for Quilting Gallery's Dreaming of Spring Mini Quilt Swap.

I just need to put a label on it and ship it off to its new owner in USA.  I hope the recipient gets as much pleasure from it as I did in making it.

I posted about my string blocks last month and after much deliberation I decided to go with my first instinct to make 4 mini quilts. They each measure 28" x 28" square and I have offset the blocks within the border of each quilt differently to add a bit more visual interest.  I was trying to create the illusion that the string blocks were floating in the background but I am not sure I achieved that outcome!  They are all basted and if I can get my act together (and if I can ignore the housework for just a bit longer) I will start and hopefully finish quilting them this weekend.

I also finished putting the border on my son's graduation quilt.  He graduated last December so after the mini quilts are completed this one is next on the list to be sandwiched, basted and quilted.

The weather here is starting to turn cold so hopefully it wont be long before DS can snuggle up under it.

I am linking up with Freshly Pieced WIP Wednesday.  Head on over to see what lots of other people are creating.

Happy quilting.

Sue
