Has it really been 2 months since I last posted?
Seriously, I cannot keep up with this blogging thing. I read several blogs every single day but forget to post on my own. I really have to rectify that (she says knowing it will NEVER happen).
We have been busyspring winter cleaning. Plenty of cleaning out cupboards, garage, garden waste etc. which meant sacrificing sewing time.
I have made some progress quilting my mini string quilts. I am really dragging my feet on these so they are now on the top of my 'to get finished' list.
I also managed to finish several tote bags and zipper pouches for swaps and gifts.
And I have just about finished a couple of quilt tops to be sent to USA for victims of the tragic and devastating fires in Colorado.
These should be on their way in the next few days.
Now to get onto one of the many WIP's I have before I start a new project. Chances of that???
Till next time.

Nice to see you again! I love your bags, they look fantastic. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan. The bags are quick and easy to make. I had so much fun making them and I definitely plan to make more in the near future.
DeleteDon't you just hate it when life gets in the way of quilting? I live the colors in your string quilts. Such happy colors. The totes and pouches are cute too. Smart to get things made like that for exchanges and gifts.
ReplyDeleteHow very sweet of you to send quilt tops for the victims of the fires in Colorado. I know there are people who will appreciate those!
How dare life get in the way of quilting time!!
DeleteIt is because I neglected the chores for so long that we had to spend a good 4 weeks catching up.
We had devastating fires local to me a few years ago and the victims are still reeling from the effects. Although only a small gesture I felt compelled to act to help those in Colorado.
I love the colourful quilt on the first picture! Really beautiful combinations.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I am new to the whole 'modern' thing but I am loving it!
